Privacy Policy
"not for me." (the "App") is a dating app where your friends do the matching for you. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the App, how we use it and what your rights are. Data controller: Anıl Özlük (Istanbul, Türkiye), contact: ozlukanil@gmail.com.
1. Data we collect
- Account: name, email address, username and the identity provided by your sign-in provider (Apple, Google).
- Profile: birth year, gender, who you are interested in, city, job, bio, photos and your preferences (age range, personality, lifestyle, hair colour).
- Social: the people in your circle, friend requests, intros you make for friends or that friends make for you, matches.
- Messages: messages you send inside the App to people you matched with.
- Device: a push notification token and your app language, so we can send notifications.
- Safety: reports and blocks.
Location: Only if you allow it, we take your approximate location (rounded to about 1 km) to show people near you and store it on your profile. We never track location in the background; you can remove it any time from Settings. We do not collect data for advertising or tracking.
2. How we use it
- To create your account and manage your session.
- To show your profile to the friends in your circle and to the people they suggest. Your profile (name, username, age, city, job, bio, photos, preferences) is visible to other signed-in users of the App; your email address is never shown.
- To let your friends find people for you: users who match your preferences are shown to your friends as candidates.
- To enable matches and messaging and to send notifications.
- To review reports, prevent abuse and meet our legal obligations.
3. Where data is stored and our processors
Data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) in the Frankfurt (Germany) region. Services used: Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions and Firebase Cloud Messaging. Google processes this data only on our behalf. If you sign in with Apple or Google, their privacy policies also apply.
4. Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, photos, username, circle, requests and notifications are permanently deleted. Report records may be kept in anonymised form for safety and legal purposes.
5. Your rights
Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, object to the processing of, and port your data. You can edit your profile inside the App and delete your account completely via Settings → Delete account. For any other request write to ozlukanil@gmail.com; we reply within 30 days.
6. Age
The App is only for people aged 18 and over. We delete accounts we find to belong to minors.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted by per-user security rules: only you can edit your own data and only people you matched with can message you.
8. Changes
When we update this policy we change the date on this page. For significant changes we notify you inside the App.
